NEOTEC Project
New Precision Therapy for Advanced Solid Tumors
The overall goal of this project is to develop a new precision therapy for treating advanced solid tumors by designing an innovative therapeutic candidate and complementary diagnostic tools that enable truly personalized medicine.
This project also pursues a fundamental strategic objective: to position ourselves in the market for targeted cancer therapies by licensing our technology to major pharmaceutical companies, thereby contributing to the development of more effective therapeutic solutions for patients with advanced-stage cancer.
This initiative is structured around the following specific technical objectives:
01 DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW THERAPEUTIC CANDIDATE
With a novel mechanism of action, focused on inhibiting the TA-1 (Tumor Adaptation Factor-1) factor and selective for tumor tissue. This drug is expected to offer high antitumor efficacy alongside a clinically favorable safety profile.
02 VALIDATION OF A ROBUST, ACCURATE, AND EASILY IMPLEMENTABLE COMPANION DIAGNOSTIC
A Tool to identify patients suitable for TA-1 inhibitor treatment by detecting a specific biomarker in plasma.
CDTI NEOTEC Program
“Development of a New Precision Therapy for the Treatment of Advanced Solid Tumors”
- Initial Budget: €411,400
- Implementation Period: 01/01/2023 – 31/12/2024
This project falls under the CDTI’s NEOTEC program, which aims to drive technological advancement and capacity-building within Spanish industry, with a particular focus on creating and consolidating technology-based companies.
Technology-based companies focus their activities on products or services that are intensive in scientific and technical knowledge. Our project has received funding from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and is backed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the NextGenerationEU program.
